Two great destinations to travel while giving back to local communities and charitable partnerships.

 

 

We’ve all read the headlines about community charitable partnerships, service and helping others in need.  This was brought to the forefront with the recent travesties in Haiti and Chile.

What a beautiful concept to be able to explore the world and at the same time give back.  Let’s explore Philanthropy through travel.  Amazing off-the-beaten path to destinations in Argentina and Ponte Do Ganchos (the south of Brazil).

 

Faena Hotel + Universe, Buenos Aires Argentina

Philanthropy – Giving back to the community is deeply ingrained in the Brazilian culture (a guiding philosophy “teach a man how to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime”.  In addition to being one of the largest employers in the City of Governador Celso Ramos, all seafood and produce is purchased from local vendors.  They also encourage employees to further their education and to learn a second language (by contributing 70 percent toward school tuition).

 

Giving back is definitely the new “sexy.”  When searching for destinations for travel this year, research to see if your travels will allow you a wonderful time of exploration and relaxation, but most importantly and opportunity to pour into another life.
